Description

I have already photographed M93 in the past here :

But this time, I wanted to get a bigger shot with the Tamron pushed to 1200 mm.

The open cluster M 93 or NGC 2447 is located in the constellation of Puppis. Charles Messier wrote it in his catalog on March 20, 1781.

Very bright on a surface of 22 minutes of arc, about twenty light-years, the cluster is seen as a triangle, a butterfly, or even a starfish.

Distant at 3600 light years from our system, for an age of 100 million years, Messier 93 includes about 80 stars.
