Description

First night using the Astrodon I Series filters with my QSI6120 camera, and I am absolutely thrilled with them over the E Series filters, for this camera. If you have a Sony ICX camera, you should look into using these.

The moon was 50-65%+ during all of the frames captured, and I do not have close to the length of integration that I want. The worst moon phase, was for the L frames. I did take a section of them at 60 seconds and 120 seconds to test how that would work out, and I think with my homes skies, and this scope, that 120 second frames were better.

I may work to get some more L data on this before its too late. I think this integration would significantly improve with more L captures. The RGB data turned out better than I had expected.

I will likely also play with the processing a bit more, but for now I am happy with step 1. hope you all enjoy!
