Description

Time to start preparing for Mars opposition this summer! Took some time off from imaging Jupiter to make some captures on Mars and Saturn on the morning of May 11, 2018. This was the end of a fantastic week of decent seeing, that was promptly followed by a week of rains (good for processing at least...). My Mars imaging has a way to go, but this was my first acceptable result. Really glad that Mars will be twice as large at opposition.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, custom Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, and ZWO ASI224MC. Image capture using Firecapture. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (Drizzled 1.5x). Wavelet sharpening in Registax.
