Description

M51 is a dream target for most astrophotographers in the Southern Hemisphere living at high latitudes. In my latitude M51 doesn't rise above 22 degrees and most of the time it is at 18 or below. This is my first attempt to capture this beautiful interacting galaxy in a particularly bad year sky wise. Given these conditions and equipment limitations I will not complain too much of the final result. I hope I can image it again next year, hopefully with better sky conditions.
