Description

This is of course not true 3D - it consists of two images of Jupiter and Io taken about 10 minutes apart. The left hand image is further manipulated so that the shadow of Io remains on the cloud tops of Jupiter instead of floating above ( I nudged the shadow slightly to the right so it showed less parallax).

It works for me if I sit 40 cm from the screen, with the two shadows about 4.6 cm apart on the screen, and wearing the reading glasses I normally use for the screen, so that the details are crisp. If you get it right, you should see a convex spherical Jupiter, with Io orbiting above it and its shadow resting on the clouds.
