Description

This is a test image i captured on July 2nd 2018. It was a very clear night but i had limited time because the moon would illuminate the second half of the night and i didnt want to shoot in these conditions so i setup my Skywatcher Staradventurer around midnight and pointed my new TS Photoline 72mm Doublet APO on the North America Nebula to take the first image with the new scope. Also my Canon 1200D was recently modified and this night was the first clear one to test the new setup. I chose an ISO of 400 and exposed the image for 150 seconds. I was extremely pleased with the picture that came up on the screen.I didnt expect the images to be that sharp and the stars without CA. It was no problem at all to see the whole nebulosity and the position of the object in the frame. i was also super surprised how well the staradventurer could handle all the weight even without proper balance. In the next few days i will try a stack of this object with as much integration time as possible in these short summernights.
