Description

The Lobster Claw is a bright emission nebula in between Cassiopeia and Cepheus. It contains lots of interesting objects including a Wolf-Rayet star (WR 157, HD 219460) in the Markarian 50 cluster. Also visible is another cluster, NGC 7510 in the lower right. There are several entries n the LBN catalogue in this image including LBN 533, 536, 537, 540,  and 544. The Nebula is located approximately 11,000 LY from earth.

This image was taken over six nights in September 2023 from my B5/6 backyard. I was very happy with the fine detail I was able to get and especially happy with the stars in Marlarian 50. Many of the images I found did not split the numerous stars very well.
