Description

The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) is a face-on spiral galaxy located about 21 million light years from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. This wide field photo shows other, fainter galaxies including NGC5474, NGC5422, NGC5473, NGC5485, NGC5477 and NGC5471. Telescope was in f/2.1 configuration.
