Description

This is a close-up crop of my previously posted M8-M20 image with a somewhat different processing workflow. It's my first serious attempt at auto-guiding my Star Adventurer and I am fairly happy with the initial results.... so much to learn!

Description: D5500 unmodifed, Nikon 300/4 ED IF, 4.5 hours, Star Adventurer guided, x3 Drizzle in DSS, PI and PS No selective colour adjustments or saturations have been made on M8, these are the actual colours after using Mark Shalley's ArcSinh Stretch process in Pixinisght followed by a Masked Stretch and Curves contrast adjustment, then finished in Photoshop. I really like the faint blue-teal-green in the core. I did boost the saturation slightly for the background to give a touch more red. The stars in the background have been slightly reduced and have had the excessive cyan fringe manually removed overall..
