Description

Single shot of Alpha Carina (Canopus) through my backyard RC8A 8" Astrograph f/8 1624 mm focal length scope with a Canon 60 Da as the imaging camera.

Canopus is the second brightest star in the sky after Sirius, it lies at a distance of 309.8 light years from earth.

A single 30 second shot @ ISO 1600.
