Description

I have been having some issues with color imaging from my backyard. I suspect most of the issues are simply light pollution. My backyard is Bortle Scale 7. My RGB images are just very hard to process - weak signal relative to the background. This image was no exception. I had a tough time processing it and almost gave up but I processed it for a comparison. This was done with an IDAS-P2 filter. I just purchased a Triad filter from OPT. I will image this same object and compare. I am hoping to get much better signal and detail with the this triple narrow band filter. I thnk this filter is ideal for folks like me who image from light polluted skies - at least for emission nebula. We'll see. :-)

Description: Since the weather in PA has been so poor, I decided to re-process this image. I think this latest one is a definite improvement but my light polluted skies do not do this object justice!
