Description

This extremely faint object, formally known as PN G75.5+1.7, is a planetary nebula located 4000 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus. The planetary nebula is 5 light-years in diameter.

This object was discovered only 10 years ago by amateur astronomer Dave Jurasevich. It is easier to capture in wider angle images taken with systems which gather light more quickly.

There are not many distinct features of the nebula visible in my image - the Soap Bubble name seems appropriate. The rim is most prominent and is primarily OIII, although a tremendous amount of Ha is visible throughout the region. The shape of this nebula looks very similar to the much brighter PN, Abell 39 (https://www.astrobin.com/310272/?page=2&nc=user).
