    Description

    IC1396A Elephant's Trunk in SHO

My first SHO (aka Hubble) palette try. Imaged almost a year ago during moon nights in narrowband filters.

    Main workflow steps:
    - separate noise reduction for Sii, Ha, Oiii integrations in PI (using Jon Rista approach, see details)
    - applying LinearFit to Oiii and channel combination into SHO, HistogramTransformation
    - using Rick Stivenson ColorMask script to remove magenta tint, reduce green, boost cyan, ephasize yellow (see more info here)
    - some other postprocessing in PI (local contrast, additional noise reduction, etc)
