Description

A brilliant grand design spiral galaxy in Ursa Major, some 12 million light years away. It harbors an active nucleus with a black hole massing 70 million solar masses. At 90,000 light years across, it is a little more than half the size of the Milky Way galaxy. This was imaged the night before the supermoon of 19 February, 2019.
