Description

Using drizzle integration and deconvolution I tried to depict the M101 with my 8" newtonian telescope from a suburban sky, similar to the "big ones". I am not 100% satisfied with the results but at the moment these are the limits of my image processing skills.

The image was awarded as "astrophoto of the week" by the biggest german astronomy portal astronomy.de
