Description

This is a photo showing two nebulae, besides some smaller nebulosities in the region of Cyrgnus constellation. The big cloud to the right is called Eastern Veil Nebula, and the one to the left is called Pickering's Triangle. Those two nebulae, along with a third nebula to the left of the picture, called Western Veil Nebula, constitute the visible portion of the Cygnus Loop. The Cygnus Loop the remnant of a star that exploded long ago as a supernova and, since then, its gases expanded until covering a large area in in the sky (approximately 6 Fuul Moons in diameter).
