Description

The clouds cleared for a few hours last week and M81 and M82 were the best candidates to afford me maximum data collection time. I was not able to collect a large number of usable subs, but enough to get a start on this image. The image is HaLRGB (Version D). I also processed a version with a touch of IFN preserved (Version C). Finally, I experimented with 3 hours of DSLR (Canon 70D) data on the same objects that I collected two years ago and reprocessed those data with the luminance from this effort (Version B). I prefer the look of the all CCD data effort versus the hybrid DSLR/CCD lum version. What are your thoughts?
