Description

The Dumbbell Nebula (also known as the Apple Core Nebula, Messier 27, and NGC 6853) is a planetary nebula (nebulosity surrounding a white dwarf) in the constellation Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1360 light-years.

I took this image over a few nights at my home in SE Wisconsin.   The first night of imaging, my target disappeared behind my house resulting in almost no Sii data taken.   The next night I targeted it I was having all kinds of technology problems but eventually got the gear going, but accidentally did a double dose of Sii instead of my plan of getting Sii and then grabbing some more Oiii.

The result was a bit fun to process as i felt I had some good subs to work with.
I did DBE on the stacked results from DSS
I used EZ processing suite for deconvolution then Extreme Noise Reduction.
In P.I.  I chose a standard Hubble Pallet, but then ran some SCNR to pull out the green.   I did some rough curves adjustment, then used Starnet 2 to create a "star" image and "starless" image that i could process independently.  The I ran some pixel math to bring them back together and topped it of with a little Topaz Denoise.

Hope you enjoy it
