This is my go at the Rosette Nebula. For me this was a quite impressive target - lots of cloud structures. However at my location the object rises maximum to 52 degrees above the horizon above the city and the Vitosha Mountain. As you can imagine this part of the sky is quite light polluted, turbulent and full of clouds. I inspected my frames one by one and the turbulence in the atmosphere was clearly visible.
However the new mount is performing great. Eccentricity of my stars has decreased from 0.6 at average to 0.3 in my last session.
Despite all that the Rosette is impressive. I used Celestron's light pollution filter for the RASA8. It lets lots of light in and the stars are quite bright and shiny. I wonder what the result would be with the Optolong L-Extreme. For sure I want to try it out however with all the bad weather here I don't know when I will have the ability to do so and on the other side there are so many targets that I want to visit
