An ESO Release called NGC 300 a “Galactic Exemplar.” While strictly speaking, that moniker may not mean “like a majority of spiral galaxies,” There’s a bit of that meaning implied. And concomitant with that meaning is “more boring to process” in so far as you find your processing train for one and apply it to all. It’s the things that divert that train that make image processing a challenge—make it fun. Now, a twisted pair of interacting galaxies with faint tidal tails, there’s a processing challenge worth a sleepless night! But…this “Galactic Exemplar” was not much of a brain twister.

Well, regardless, hope you like this somewhat half-hearted rendering…
