Description

Struggled a bit with calibration frames with the new rig, but I think I got it figured out now, went back to sky flats instead of using a LED panel. Finally got a chance to process some of my images.
This one is the Pacman Nebula NGC 281 shot in narrowband and processed with SHO Hubble palette. It is an emission type nebula residing about 9200 light years from Earth. In our skies, it is near the Cassiopeia constellation. This region is full of young stars and several dust lanes (the main one looking like Pacman's mouth).
About 40 hours went into this one, about 266x 180 second subframes on each narrowband filter, Hydrogen-alpha, Oxygen-III, and Sulfer-II.
