Description

The planet Saturn, "the lord of the rings" is back for autumn evenings. As of April 28, the planet will be in opposition, which will observe it throughout the night. It will be the best time to observe Saturn in 2013. At opposition, Saturn will be about one billion three hundred and eighteen million miles from Earth. So far away that the light of the sun, reflected in its atmosphere will take about an hour and thirteen minutes to come from Saturn to our planet. Despite this distance, the planet can be seen to the naked eye as a bright star in the eastern sky, more specifically in the constellation Libra, in late April. The telescope will be able to see the planet surrounded by its own majestic ring system, composed of rock, ice and gases, which revolve around Saturn precipitously. The brightest satellites. Titan Rhea, Dione and Japetus may also be observed through the telescope. On Saturn, 60 satellites have been discovered! The planet is covered by a dense atmosphere composed mainly by gases hydrogen, helium, ammonia, methane and water also. It is so big that it could fit within more than 700 Earths! A spectacular planet that is inviting us in the coming months, to observe the sky and know a little more of the universe.
