Description

I was out imaging from my bortle 8 yard again last night testing the 6Da and Optolong L-extreme with a 59% moon to the NW.

I decided to image the Rosette Nebula which was also to the north. I have attached three images- last night's very red image (70x3min)as per above posted information, a bluer dark sky image I took three years ago with my stock 6D(30x3min) and a combination of both images using PixInsight and Photoshop to get star and some blue color back. Interestingly there has been no increase in saturation during the process as the L-extreme image had plenty of rather dark red to go around. I decided to reduce the color saturation after all as the red was a bit much.

It would be interesting to see how it all compares to simply shooting my new 6Da from a dark sky.
