Description

The multi-part emission nebula IC1318 in Cygnus around bright star Gamma Cygni could be regarded as the counter-part to North-America and Pelican nebula ;-)
You can also see the open cluster N6910 to the left and just a glimpse of M29 at the far right.

This is first light of my new Lacerta 72/432 (just one bare hour of exposure as I started late and summer nights are painfully short), which rode piggy-back on the C9.25 -- the CAT in turn collecting light from the crescent nebula in the same 1h session. Admittingly, I somehow (accidentally) missed the crescent in this wide-field after some manipulations of the Baader Stronghold mounting bracket, but in the aftermath I am quite happy having stumbled over this particular part of the Cygnus emission nebula complex, which was new to me...
