Description

I have been gradually building up some basic skills in this difficult cult/hobby. I have two decent images from imaging the night of July 19/20 at my cottage ~50km north of the city of Ottawa (bortle class 3 skies).

The difference from previous desperate attempts is that I have new a camera that isn't awash in noise. Unfortunately the sky did not cooperate: evening light turned into a brief dark patch which soon became a very bright sky with mist illuminated by a big and bright moon.

Still haven't tried any filters, no "darks", no "flats", no guided tracking, etc. Vignetting is visible on the images before cropping.

Description: Minor edits to light balance because of blue fog around nebula. Effect was to change hue of the nebula to more of a green.
