Description

This is first light on my Celestron HD11 with .7 reducer.  I have a long way to go figuring out the intricacies of this rig.  I am amazed at how minuscule of a breeze it takes to dramatically affect the guiding accuracy (OAG).  I was fortunate enough to have one still night but that night there was some high thin cirrus to deal with.  The other nights I was forced to throw away about half of my subs do to high FWHM.  My goal here though was just to gain some experience with the new rig.  Also this is only my fourth mono project so still on the learning curve there as well.  Taking all this into account  plus my Bortle 7-8 South Florida sky which robs the faint details, I am pretty happy with the result given the challenges.

The hamburger galaxy is an unbarred spiral galaxy about 35 million light years away in the Constellation Leo. Along with M65 and M66, NGC 3628 forms the Leo Triplet, a small group of galaxies. (Wikipedia)

From our vantage point on Earth, we are looking at the galaxy edge on with the dust lanes dissecting the galaxy core.
