Description

An Eagle nebula closeup with my 10" f/4 Lacerta Photonewton -

during the shortest nights of the year I did some sessions to collect subframes, using all 7 channels LRGB and SHO. There is the contrasty and star-free Hubble palette and the LRGB-SHO near what we think to be the true colors. (While we can never be sure, as our eyes are not sensitive for the deep red H-Alpha Balmer line, pitifully.) There is also a cropped version of the famed Pillars Of Creation - Zoltan Levays epic Hubble palette original (a little different, as he did not remove the stars), an annotated version, and a blinking picture to check the striking differences between the versions.

Camera ASI1600 mono at gain 75, Astronomik filters (narrowband 12nm), MGEN with APT to control camera and mount, processing with Pixinsight using the new module StarNet to remove stars (thank you Nikita, its great!), Photoshop for Hubble palette and overall refinements.
