Description

I had lots of travel I had to do in August. Naturally things got clear when I was away and also a bright moon. This image is the results of many nights from July-31 through August 21 with remote acquisition to the little Nexdome in backyard. 59.8 hours total SHO all in 600 sec subs.

Processing workflow went like this in broad strokes:

Linear fit O3 & Ha to S2. Made SHO. Initial color correction by choosing bright core as white reference. Masked stretch to 0.2 after mild touch up with color mask tool in PI. Extracted L and with that as mask pushed up saturation slightly.

Made superluminace and combining the linear HSO frames using Ha as reference. Masked stretch to 0.2 and then made SHO_L from that.

Go to PSD and do further selective color adjustements.

Back to PI for final ACDNR and curve adjustments. Fun to process such deep data which is hard to come by from my bright location.
