Description

Abell 45
PK 020 - 0.1
PN G020.2 - 0.6

Very little is known about this rarely photographed PN located in the southern Constellation of Scutum.
It is a special Planetary Nebula in that its appearance mostly comes from ionized nitrogen (NII) with much less hydrogen (Ha) and no oxygen (OIII).

The NII wavelength is 658.4 nm just 2 nm from Ha 656.3 nm.

Thanks, Eddie
