Description

Well .. this time the original photo came out almost as good as the LROC!

But leaving bullshit let the description:

Mersenius & Rima Mersenius.

Mersenius is located west of Mare Humorum, in the southwestern part of the moon. The rim is heavily worn Mersenius, especially in the northern part accessible. The crater 'Mersenius N' is across the southwestern border. The interior has been flooded by basaltic lava that bubbled up forming a convex dome shape with an estimated height of 450 meters from the edges of the floor. This was probably formed by upwelling of lava beneath the surface. There are several tiny craterlets through the ground, but rather in the form of a central peak. At least two weak rilles lie along the floor surface.

To the east of the crater on the surface and edges of the Mare Humorum ha rille system designated Rimae Mersenius. These rilles are generally parallel and run north-northeast for a length of about 230 km.
