Description

Using my Askar ACL 200 telescope and a Dual Narrowband Filter, I captured IC1805, also known as the Heart Nebula. This celestial object, located about 7,500 light years from Earth in the Cassiopeia region, is known for its distinctive heart-shaped structure permeated with luminous gas and dust.

My image includes both RGB data and data taken with a dual narrowband filter to capture the specific emissions of hydrogen and oxygen gas surrounding the nebula. The bright reds of the ionised hydrogen and the bluish hues of the ionised oxygen create a fascinating play of colours.
