Description

I had clear skies this morning for the first time in nearly two weeks and the seeing was very good. It was fortuitous therefore that the GRS was rotating into view. Later the seeing dropped off somewhat, but for this RGB run and the accompanying IR 642nm BP run, the seeing was really good.

It seems that the remnant of the flake from SEB ring No.6 now extends back towards the SEB and seems to have broken through the STrB into the STB. The colour seems to be fading somewhat. The south side of the RSH has a very dark, almost black boundary now. Note that the northern boundary is dark brown.

There is a quite an amount of red material remaining in the complex wake of the GRS and its colour is more intense than the flake remnant on its p side.

Version B is the IR image and I arranged the captures to have the same time stamp. The mouseover makes for an interesting comparison.
