Description

Centaurus A is a peculiar galaxy thought to have arisen from a collision of two parent galaxies. As well as being one of the brighter optical galaxies in the southern hemisphere, it's also the brightest radio source in the sky and a strong emitter of X-rays.

Having run of time to capture any green frames, a synthetic green image was prepared by blending red and blue frames.

Seeing was unusually good on both nights, with mount tracking errors below 1".

Description: Reprocessed some old data on C77. In hindsight the original version looks pretty over-processed now, and the star-forming regions were lost in the general blue colour of the bckground.
