Boris The Spider

Description

A. I recently bought some new gear - an ASI1600mm and a ZWO 2 inch filter wheel. The filters are over-sized, but I can upgrade my camera in the future without having to buy new filters. Description: I'm going to need some pretty good flats to eliminate this! I cleaned up the filters, and found Boris dead in the filter wheel. He must have climbed in when I loaded the brand new filters into the brand new filter wheel. Problem solved, right? ...

Description: On my next night, my luminance shots looked like this. Its the ghost of Boris!. How can this be? I took everything apart the next morning and there was nothing in the filter wheel. There must be a way in and out for spiders.... (or it was a real spider ghost)

Description: There are 8 holes for camera mounting on this wheel. The ASI1600 covers only the inner 4, leaving the outer 4 open. This must be the path the spiders are taking, so cover them up if you live in a part of the world like me, where you are never more than a meter from a spider at all times!
