Description

NGC 281, IC 11 or Sh2-184 is a bright emission nebula and part of an H II region in the northern constellation of Cassiopeia and is part of the Milky Way 's Perseus Spiral Arm. This 20×30 arcmin sized nebulosity is also associated with open cluster IC 1590.

This was one of those long projects that had me worried about being able to finish it this season. I started imaging Ha on Sept.30 then bad weather hit and could not finish OIII and SII until it cleared up again On Nov.7/8.

I enjoyed this target as it has really good data in all three narrowband channels. Each channel also had unique details within making the detail in the final combine more interesting than I thought. I used a different formula in pixel math for the first time in this image and I really like the colour palate that it resulted in.

love to here your thoughts and suggestions!
