Description

This was taken on a cloudy day and is my first proper picture of the moon. The minor hurs correspond to the various elements and chemicals that give the moon its natural colour. The blue is titanium rich while the orange and purple are areas that are poor in titanium/iron. The rest of the grey-looking moon is made up of oxygen, silicon, magnesium, calcium, and aluminum. The dark regions are a build up of pyroxene and the lighter regions are commonly encompassed by plagioclase feldspar. Facts found online and on Wikipedia.
