Description

The Ghost Nebula, also known as „Ghost of Cassiopeia“ is located right beside the very bright star named „Gamma Cassiopeiae“ (in the upper left corner of the frame) and is a combination of reflexion- and emission nebulae.
It is located in a distance of about 610 light years.
The bright star Gamma Cassiopeiae is located only 3 light years away from the nebula, which makes it hard to capture this rather faint object.
