Description

The first lunar images after 2 months and the first this year. The Moon hasn't aged at all - so enviable. Air transparency was terrific but clouds persistently insisted on acting as filters. Thanks to favorable libration of +6.5° in longitude, Mare Australe and Mare Humboltianum turned into view.

No luck with nearby Jupiter hiding behind clouds, but I captured a few frames anyway for decoration of the lunar image in Rev B. Also unfortunately, there wasn't enough time (window)  of clear view for a hi-res mosaic.

The 5.5 days moon is the first dawn for the Japanese lander SLIM which slept tight two weeks long inside crater Cyrillus south of crater Theophilus, west of Mare Nectaris, the sea where honey flows. Though the moon was closer than mean distance, not that I tirelessly tried to resolve and image the 2.4 meters tall guy while sleeping -- never! (Rev D).
