Description

Caldwell 107 is located in the deep southern consellation of Apus. Yet another object discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop during his sojourn in Sydney, C107 was first observed in 1826. The cluster is relatively loosely packed, and was described by Herschel as 'large, faint, round and only a little brighter in the middle' which I reckon pretty much sums it up! Populations of blue and yellow stars can be easily seen.
