Description

I thought I would focus in the dust cloud that lies between/ in front of  the North America and Pelican Nebula

Looking round on the internet I find several references to this being "L935" but haven't identified what catalogue this - EDIT Ah its LDN 935!

When I first started imaging this area with my DSLR I thought "That black bit must be space" so tried to render it to look black

Having learned that it is in fact a dust cloud that sits in front of the ionised gas I have tried to render it so there are some layers and depth

I suppose it also looks like one of those inkblot tests!

Checking the data i felt i had enough to do this though i suppose another couple of hours of Oiii could have been beneficial

Taken over five short nights between 28th May and 16th June 22

61 Ha x 300s
72 Sii x 300s
32 Oiii x 300s
= 13 hrs 45 mins
