Description

New Roki 135mm f/2.0 with ASI2600MC Pro - first time.  Shot at f/2.0.

The version with the stars has very reduced star intensity.   The reality with such a wide field image is that the star density is overwhelming.   If, during processing, you put all the stars back in as they actually appear in the original image, the nebulosity is very difficult to see.   The star density is amazing!!!

Note:  This is a completely new dataset, never before posted on Astrobin (or anywhere else).   My other images of this area (IC 405 from two weeks before) are comprised of different imaging data taken with a different telescope.

Title: Starless

Description: Just a starless version.

Title: Completely restacked and re-processed

Description: This version was completely re-stacked using different settings in WBPP. Aim was to improve both pre- and post-processing, especially color and dust/faint areas. Flaming Star and Tadpole nebulae are obvious, with part of the Spaghetti Nebula (very faint) in lower right corner. Still a work in progress.

Title: Monochrome version of starless

Description: There clearly seems to be "dust" in this area, which is quite evident in this monochrome version of the starless image. I'm concluding (perhaps erroneously) that with more imaging time this will come out in the OSC image more clearly. To be continued.
