Description

The data for this image was discovered today while looking for something to reprocess. This is a very short stack in true RGB with Lum data with my SW100ED and ASI1600mmPro. Subs were very short and would never capture this data today the same way but this was 3 years ago...

As I was processing this data for the first time today (4-26-2024) looking at this 3 year old data, on a scope I hardly use anymore except for solar and lunar photography. Several thoughts crossed my mind. One was, what was I thinking taking 60sec subs. That is on me, but, I also realized that with the modern tools and utilities that are available today in PI, like BXT, NXT and SXT and others, I don't know if I would have spent the money to upgrade to the WO 132FLT Triplet. I was very new to PI and image processing 3 years ago and while I never looked at this data, the other images of the time where terrible by today's work flow results. I love my WO refractors and don't regret purchasing them. Inch for Inch my GT81 is the best scope I own...but I might not have purchased the 132 because the FL is the same with both the WO132 and the SW100ED...

Anyway, I was looking to reprocess Leo Trio data https://www.astrobin.com/o8g9m3/B/ captured in New Mexico. When I went to update that image with this one I realized I had new (but old) data that I had never processed...

Enjoy
