Description

IC 5148 is a rather spectacular planetary nebula in Grus. It's about 3000 light years away, about 2 light years across, and expanding at a rate of  50 kilometers a second - making it one of the fastest expansion rates of a planetary nebula known. Surrounding it are faint shells of gas and dust that are most noticeable in Oiii. Obviously worthy of more data to bring this out more.
