Moon is out so I have been catching Ha and Oiii with my dual-RASA rig using the very likable IDAS NBZ filters. Highly recommended for an OSC and the results are almost RGB like with a lot of star colour.

The Flying Dragon (Sh2-114) is here almost escaping my FOV up to the left. The creture just to the right of it was new to me and has apparently not even an LBN annotation. Then there is also a massive and relatively bright Ha area dominating the right half of the image, which is LBN 321. Not much Oiii signal to be seen in this area.

The Flying Dragon is notoriously difficult to catch, I previously barely caught it with an f/7 refratcor and a dark site is needed (mine is Bortle 2-3). In this case the signal was quite strong at f/2 and 14 hours.

I had difficulies deciding on a proper level of brightness as it looks quite different on different monitors. So I post two versions, B being a bit brighter than A.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
