Description

Thank you to Lloyd at Deep Sky West for sharing this data from their Chile location with me.

B72 - The Snake Nebula is a dark nebula in the Ophiuchus Constellation at a declination of -23° 38' and is approximately 37' x 17' in size. The "S" shaped dust lane snakes out in front of the Milky Way star clouds, giving the nebula its nickname.
