Description

The Ruins of the Guge Kingdom was founded around tenth century by a descendant of King Lang Darma, who fled from Lhasa after the collapse of Tubo Kingdom. The kingdom, playing an important role in the second transmission in Tibet, survived about 700 years and disappeared mysteriously in the 17th century.

The Ruins of the capital is now a famous tourism site. In late August, around midnight, the Scorpius Constellation moves just upon the ruin, like a gaint scorpion crawling over the old king's palace. Meanwhile, moon rises from east lighten the valley but not bright enough to shade the milk way.
