Exactly one month ago we had the last clear night and now an other one, a big improvement one clear night per month from one every five
Anyway, I was soooo happy to finally collect photons again

Because the moon was up high in the sky and because no other objects where available from my garden, I opted to image Iris nebula (a bright nebula that is up whole night and that is far from the Moon ).
Half of the images where taken when the nebula was low in northwest and half when it was rising toward north (69° was the highest point), a bit hard for PHD2 to guide well lots of correction comands, but 0.30-0,40 was actually not bad at all .
So when everything was ready and the session started, I went to bed and got up at 4:50 when the session was ended. It is still so amazing to me that the automation nowadays allows you to go to sleep while the gear works in the cold
The seeing wasn't great with some high thin clouds passing by and a bit windy, so of 120 images 100 where good enough to stack. The final image was a bit noisy, but I applied EZ De-noise in the beginning and in the end, it did a good job (I love EZ
but it's sooo slow and I really have to buy NoiseXterminator!).
Hm... maybe I could enhance the color a bit more, but for the moment I like Iris without to much make up 😁.

Ps.: while I was preparing the gears, a big owl was observing me from a tree near by and time to time scared me cause it suddenly "screamed" so loudly. Well you really come in contact with nature with this hobby some time
