Description

M42 test Run @ 1305mm, towards the end of a three-hour "Small Rosette" and "Fossil Footprint" nebulae data acquisition session! Ahh, the crisp clear skies of winter, my favorite time of the year!!!
10 x 30sec lights
10 x 60sec lights
10 x 120sec lights
Straight RGB workflow without any fancy tricks or scripts, just cropped!
Stacked as separate sessions with their own 30 darks, 30 flats and 30 dark flats in Astro Pixel processor and post processed in Pixinsight with slight touchups in Paintshoip pro for clarity and vibrancy. Stars weren't perfect as the dew heater ring kept giving me problems, but the test was mainly to assess the nebulosity capturing limit of the 8" SCT (Nexstar Evo) on the AVX mount.
