Description

Ok, so nowhere near enough integration time, but this was my first attempt at trying to get auto-guiding to work and trying out long exposures. The stars are reasonably round so I am fairly happy. This setup has a scale of 0.77 arcsec/px, so I binned 2x2 as I was only getting guiding accuracy of about 1"

Also, I had a green filter on the scope (because I was mostly imaging the moon that evening)! Hardly ideal for galaxies, but I tried to remove the strong green cast as well as I could.

Anyway.. I just wanted this here for historical reasons. Guiding is something I have been putting off as 'too difficult' so I am pleased I finally dipped my toe in the water.

And a more successful effort on the same target here
