Description

A widefield image of the Pelican (IC5070) and North American (NGC7000) Nebulae in the constellation Cygnus. These nebulae are about 2,600 light-years from Earth. This image is a narrowband image with Sulfur, Hydrogen and Oxygen emissions. This is a called a false color image using the Hubble Palette (SII for red, Ha for green, and OIII for blue).

Imaging equipment was a William Optics Zenithstar 73, Software Bisque MYT mount, and ZWO ASI071MC Pro color camera. I used an Optolong L-eNhance filter for Ha and OIII, and a separate filter for SII. Total integration time was 4.6 hours.

This is the first time I've used a dedicated SII filter with a one-shot color (OSC) camera, and was quite happy with the results.
